Dr. Melanie Head is the co-owner of EnergySmart Alternatives, a company that specializes in the design and installation of geothermal heating and cooling systems in New England. Melanie has a BSc in Environmental Science and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Manitoba. She also completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University. She is an International Ground Source Heat Pump Association Accredited Installer and the former Chair of the Standards Committee for the New England Geothermal Professionals Association. She is a NATE Certified Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer.
