CLEAResult is currently seeking an Energy Rating Specialist to join our New Construction Division based in Southborough and serving primarily the Boston area.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented and have a strong interest in building science. The Energy Rating Specialist will be performing field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of New Construction services including:

o    Energy Star Homes
o    LEED for Homes
o    HERS Ratings
o    Code Testing

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review construction blueprints and plans.
• Generate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software.
• Perform diagnostic testing including the use of blower door and duct blaster equipment, and combustion safety equipment.
• Successfully communicate technical concepts to subcontractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications.
• Initiate outreach to ensure program enrollment goals are met.
• Participation in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid knowledge of diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments.
• Additional duties as determined.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

• Bachelors Degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field or experience).
• Experience in residential construction preferred.
• Proven ability to learn and process technical information from many different sources - new products, services and measures are regularly introduced into the program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Detail oriented with an ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and deadlines both independently and in a team setting.
