Florence MacGregor Named the Executive Director of NESEA
Dear NESEA Community,
I am delighted to announce that the Board of Directors has appointed Florence MacGregor as the Executive Director of NESEA. Flo has been an incredible asset to the NESEA community since she joined us seven years ago, and she has been serving as the Interim Executive Director since July 1.
Flo's many accomplishments include building a thriving Emerging Professionals program, spearheading our diversity and inclusion initiatives, directing the Pro Tour, BuildingEnergy Magazine, and Bottom Lines programs, and helping to secure our first grants in over a decade to develop programming for voc/tech students and WMBE businesses. Flo was also instrumental in the development of NESEA's new strategic plan and, even prior to becoming Interim Executive Director, had been working closely with the board to build and maintain a stable and resilient organization.
Following Flo's appointment as Interim Executive Director in July, the Board assembled a transition task force to guide the organization through the leadership transition. After conducting a comprehensive search and a competitive vetting process, the task force enthusiastically recommended that the Board appoint Flo as NESEA's Executive Director. Having worked closely with Flo for many years now, and having witnessed her skillful management of the organization as Interim Executive Director, it was no surprise to me to learn that Flo was clearly the best candidate for Executive Director among a highly qualified pool of candidates.
In short, NESEA could not be in better hands. Please join me in congratulating Flo (fmacgregor@nesea.org) on her appointment.
Warm Regards,
Rachel White
Chair of the NESEA Board of Directors
