NESEA members advocate for the transformation of our industry by clearly addressing the science of unprecedented climate change. Likewise, a complete scientific understanding of the most devastating building collapse in history (the Twin Towers, NYC) can help heal the deep scars of 9/11/01, commemorating its 14th anniversary this September 11. On that clear blue day in 2001, our common aspirations for a sustainable agenda in this country and around the world were horrifically violated. Meanwhile, polls show that the “how” of what happened that day in New York is openly questioned by nearly half of those surveyed on the subject.
This year at ABX- 2015 in Boston, the largest building industry event in the Northeast, come join Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth in booth 1165, unpacked from the National AIA Atlanta Convention last May. This movement continues to grow, with now over 2,350 Architects & Engineers having signed the AE911Truth Petition to reinvestigate the WTC high-rise building failures, joined by another 20,000 general signatories. Richard Gage, AIA, founder and CEO of this non-profit org will present on the ABX Learning Stage at noon on November 19th, focusing in on WTC Building 7. He will present expert analysis, video and eye-witness testimony and scientific evidence that has surfaced since 9/11/01 that uncovers disturbing violations of the basic laws of physics and engineering principles, as well as numerous unanswered questions in the official NIST report on 911.
A new book, Beyond Misinformation, (What Science Says About the Destruction of World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2, and 7 ) is just out this week, published by A & E for 911 Truth. Much of the key missing evidence in the NIST report is outlined in this fully illustrated and well referenced 50 page booklet, being mailed out to over 20,000 architects and engineers and now available online for just $2.50 a copy.
Also, their latest film, Firefighters, Architects & Engineers: Expose the Myths of 9/11 premiered on September 11, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the West Park Presbyterian Church, 165 West 86th St., NYC. While 343 firefighters died instantly as the Twin Towers collapsed on 9-11-01, the personal agony and pain of this tragedy lives on for those who responded to save victims and clean up this disaster. As reported in the New York Post on August 9, 2015, the Number of Ground Zero responders with 911-linked cancers hits 3,700.
In the words of the featured fire fighter in the film Eric Lawyer,“ We should not be afraid to talk about the most traumatic event to happen in our history ” He reminds us to ” come from a place of love and not fear, and just shine the light”. This attitude is at the core of what NESEA members have been doing so well for the last 40 years. As with Climate Change, sometimes these concerns engage us to go deeper into difficult and interrelated discovery with social, political, economic and ecological concerns. With this worldwide trauma of 911 that unfolded in our backyard, we have an opportunity to continue that legacy of care. One year away from a new administration and national electorate in the mood for "straight talk" to borrow from Donald Trump, consider visiting booth 1165, and join in on this important discussion with our building community partners at ABX.
