Steven Hopengarten is a Product Lead, within the Customer Organization at National Grid. Steven and 14 years in the renewable and sustainable aspects of the energy industry. Steven joined National Grid in 2018 specializing in the strategy and execution of procuring grid connected services for non-wires alternatives, third party owned energy storage, third party owned inertia and electric vehicle programs in both the US and the UK. Steven started his career designing solar arrays and the associated economic models in Israel prior to returning to his native Massachusetts where he spent the next 9 years as a solar engineer, energy data analyst and energy engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Union College (NY).
