I'm passionate about innovation in our built environment. I want to look back on my life and think that I did everything possible to stem global warming while encouraging women and other underrepresented groups to find empowerment in the construction industry.
I work for Unity Homes, a leader in high performance innovation for single family construction. We create simple energy efficient projects using panelized construction. Our parent company is Bensonwood, founded on principles of environmental responsibility and leading in transforming the construction industry for the past 50 years.
Relatively new to the East Coast, I previously had the honor of project managing for Green Hammer Design Build and Birdsmouth Design Build in Portland, OR. Both are leaders in the single family high performance industry on the West Coast. I got my start in construction with "bags on", primarily working in natural and low embodied carbon buildings. I'm pretty good with a trowel.
Active on Passive House Northwest board of directors for 6 years, I primarily taught education sessions and co-organized the annual conference.
I am excited to now be working within the NESEA sphere to learn from my colleagues here in New England. Together, I see much potential for building on the great foundation the organization has laid, and creating an even more relevant resource for the region and beyond.
