July July 17-18, 2008 Integrated Design/Integrated Development Conference Plymouth State University Plymouth, NH Edward Mazria FAIA, an internationally recognized architect with a long and distinguished career, will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Integrated Design/Integrated Development (IDID) Conference held at Plymouth State University. The IDID conference is presented by The New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects Environmental Guild, The Jordan Institute, Grante State Landscape Architects, and the Center for the Environment at Plymouth State University. The Conference brings together architects, landscape architects, engineers, developers, contractors, real estate brokers, bankers, building owners, and others to open communications between the disciplines and to promote environmentally responsible, economically compelling design and development. Mazria's architecture and planning projects span over a thirty-year period and each employs a cutting-edge environmental approach to its design. In 2002, he founded Architecture 2030, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, established in response to the global-warming crisis. 2030’s mission is to rapidly transform the US and global Building Sector from the major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions to a central part of the solution to the global-warming crisis. The goal is straightforward: to achieve a dramatic reduction in the global-warming-causing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the Building Sector by changing the way buildings and developments are planned, designed and constructed.
