Paul Reale leads work in applied research in building operations with CIUS Building Performance Lab at the City University of New York. Paul began his career as an engineer at Bell Laboratories in the telecommunications industry as a designer and systems engineer. He grew a passion for teaching professionals, and he first channeled his talents into energy efficiency initiatives in 2008 by launching a behavioral startup called Green Allowance.
Paul’s combination of technical depth and communication skills have led to a full career in the NY real estate industry. He has taught thousands of real estate professionals, architects, engineers and building operators in building energy code, green leasing techniques and building operations. He continues to teach multiple aspects of building operations and energy code for both Urban Green Council and CUNY Building Performance Laboratory.
Paul is a LEED AP, and he holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
