Upcoming NESEA Events
In a typical year, NESEA hosts more than 30 events across the Northeast. Through our in-person and online events, we continue to further our mission of cultivating a community where practitioners share, collaborate, and learn.
While most of the events listed here are open to any member of the NESEA community, some require an invitation and most require pre-registration.

2025 is NESEA’s 50th year! To recognize this milestone, we’re celebrating of the role that NESEA has had in the lives and work of our community members.
Manchester, Connecticut
NESEA heads to Connecticut to offer a tour of a renovated and expanded 1940s elementary school that has been transformed into a modern, net-zero facility, complete with a 66 well geothermal HVAC system, to serve 400 students.
In an era defined by climate uncertainty and evolving federal policy, achieving ambitious energy goals requires more than bold ideas, it demands a skilled and adaptable workforce. Workforce development training equips professionals with the tools, certifications, and hands-on experience needed to implement high performance energy solutions across buildings, communities, and infrastructure.
Portland, Maine
This September, NESEA invites you to join us for a tour of two recently completed multifamily buildings in South Portland, both built to PHIUS standards. Together, these side-by-side buildings provide the community with 95 units of high performance affordable housing. Not only will this event showcase the design and construction of the buildings and their systems, we will also learn about their place in the larger context of the Mercy Hospital Campus Redevelopment project and the surrounding neighborhood.
Boston, Massachusetts
The NESEA Board of Directors will be hosting an in-person meet-up for people working in industries connected to NESEA who have identities that are traditionally underrepresented in the field.
