Job Description

CLEAResult is currently seeking an Energy Rating Specialist to join our New Construction Division based in Southborough and serving primarily Eastern Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented and have a strong interest in building science. The Energy Rating Specialist will perform energy modeling and field inspections through various stages of the design and construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of New Construction services including:

  • Energy Star Homes
  • LEED for Homes
  • HERS Ratings
  • Code Testing

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing construction blueprints and plans
  • Generating energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software
  • Performing diagnostic testing, including the use of blower door and duct blaster equipment, and combustion safety equipment
  • Successfully communicating technical concepts to subcontractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications
  • Initiating outreach to ensure program enrollment goals are met
  • Participating in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid knowledge of diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments
  • Additional duties as determined

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field or experience)
  • Experience in residential construction preferred
  • Proven ability to learn and process technical information from many different sources - new products, services and measures are regularly introduced into the program
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, verbal communication, and reporting skills
  • Detail oriented with an ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and deadlines both independently and in a team setting
