Congratulations Jennifer on both your attendance at this event and your representation of NESEA in this brave new administration. As a former ED of NESEA, I know what a huge victory this is and how it positions NESEA to lead this effort!
Clearly, as supportive as the President is, the battle is still underway and the renewables/efficiency/systems thinking crowd is losing. In fact, all breathing, sentient beings have their backs against the wall on this matter. The history in New England states is at best a start & stop record for both efficiency and renewables. To that end, I look forward to working with you and all NESEA members to enact policies - primarily at the state level where electric policies are really made in the US - to implement incentive programs that are predictable, stable and certain over a time horizon needed to recoup the financial investment. Germany is the best example of this, with their feed in tariff mechanism. Thank you again and congratulations Jennifer. Tom Thompson
