We return to Trenton for a downtown festival near the State House, in front of the State Museum and Library. The steering committee is working to match and exceed the success we had two years ago!

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS:

Don't miss the Tour de Sol when it comes to Trenton, May 17th!  There is something for everyone!

  • Food and entertainment including bicycle powered music, Climate Action Theatre, and much more!

  • Over 50 Exhibits.
  • Try out the newest and coolest cars and bikes. See the on-road debut of Honda’s Civic Hybrid. Test-drive new hybrid-electric vehicles built by Honda and Toyota. Talk with enthusiastic hybrid vehicle owners about their experience with their gas-sipping cars.

Vist with one of New Jersey's "home teams".  This is the fourth year that the Cinnaminson High School team will compete in the Tour de Sol competition.

  • Learn about prototype fuel cell and hybrid cars from DaimlerChrylser. Reps will be on hand to answer technical questions about these vehicles and their electric neighborhood vehicles.
  • Visit two-dozen one-of-a-kind vehicles built by students and individuals competing in the Tour de Sol road-rally championship. Talk with over 200 students, and dozens of visionaries traveling with the Tour de Sol about their vehicles, and their experience in building it. These vehicles include battery-electric cars, hybrid cars, solar assisted cars, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and one-person motorcycles and personal commuter vehicles.

Government personnel visit with a student team, and learn about how electric-drive vehicles can reduce our dependence on foreign oil while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Fun stuff for kids – guided tours of the vehicles, interactive displays, scavenger hunt, bicycle stuff and more.
  • Trenton Cycling Revolution will be engaging students on the environmental and health benefits of bicycling. They will also have lots of fun games for kids to play including "Spokin".
