Directions: Inner Harbor at Rash Field
The City of Baltimore is hosting our first-ever festival at the popular Inner Harbor.

Sunday, May 12. 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
A great thing to do on Mother’s Day! Bring your Mom to lunch at the Inner Harbor, and treat her to a test-drive in the newest and coolest cars
Monday, May 13. 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The festival continues. We expect 1,000 area students to visit the Tour de Sol on a field trip.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS:


With over 50 exhibits there's lot to do - it's fun for the whole family!

  • Food and Entertainment.

  • Over 50 Exhibits.

  • Fun stuff for kids – interactive displays, scavenger hunt, bicycle stuff and more.

  • Try out the newest and coolest cars and bikes. See the on-road debut of Honda’s Civic Hybrid. Test-drives new hybrid-electric vehicles built by Honda and Toyota. Talk with enthusiastic hybrid vehicle owners about their experience with their gas-sipping cars.

  • Learn about prototype fuel cell and hybrid cars from DaimlerChrylser. Reps will be on hand to answer technical questions about these vehicles and their electric neighborhood vehicles.

  • Talk with over 200 students, and dozens of visionaries about their experience of building two-dozen one-of-a-kind vehicles that are competing in the Tour de Sol road-rally championship. These vehicles include battery-electric cars, hybrid cars, solar assisted cars, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and one-person motorcycles and personal commuter vehicles.

  • Enjoy Peruvian music performed by Aymara Star.

  • The Arlington County Commuter Assistance Program will be on hand to sell metro passes and show off their cool store on wheels.

  • Learn about car sharing by visiting the Zipcar exhibit. Look for the little VW Beetle.

  • Watch Climate Action Theatre perform skits on global warming.

  • Try some delicious Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, sip some yummy Odwalla all natural juices, and try some coffee.

  • Watch technical testing of the vehicles entering the Tour de Sol road-rally. Stationary testing at Rash Field. Braking and handling testing at Camden Yards.
