2003 Tour de Sol: The Great American Green Transportation Festival

Saturday, May 10: 10 AM - 5 PM

From the north or south on the New Jersey Turnpike
Take Exit 5. Go north towards Burlington on the Burlington/Mt Holly Road (county 541). Go straight across route 130 and continue on High Street through the center of Burlington, all the way to the end. High Street ends at the Riverfront Promenade. Turn right at the Promenade onto Pearl, then another right onto Stacy, then another right into the Festival parking lot.
From the north or south on Interstate 295:
Take exit 47B. Go north towards Burlington on the Burlington/Mt Holly Road (county 541). Go straight across route 130 and continue on High Street through the center of Burlington, all the way to the end. High Street ends at the Riverfront Promenade. Turn right at the Promenade onto Pearl, then another right onto Stacy, then another right into the Festival parking lot.
Monday, May 12: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We encourage all to take public transportation where and whenever possible. The Festival site at the State Museum and Library is easily accessible via bus and light rail. Please visit the NJ Transit website for complete information.
From the north on Route 1:
Coming south on Route 1, take the exit for Interstate Route 95 South -- Pennsylvania. Stay on Route 95 to the last exit in New Jersey. Follow signs for Route 29 South (Trenton.) Take Route 29 into Trenton. You will see the white dome of the planetarium on your left. Move into the left lane and take the exit marked "Memorial Drive." Follow signs to State Street. Turn right on State. Festival is ahead on your right.
From the south on Route 295:
Take Route 295 North to the exit marked Trenton and Shore Points. On the exit ramp, bear left onto Rt. 129 toward Trenton. Go through the first light and continue on to the second light (Cass Street). Make a left on Cass and continue through two more lights. Stay in the right lane and bear right onto Rt. 29 North. (Waterfront Park is ahead on your left.) Follow this to the Memorial Drive exit. Follow signs to State Street. Turn right on State. Festival is ahead on your right.
From the east on Route 195:
Take Rt. 195 West toward Trenton. It becomes Rt. 129 as you approach the city. Continue on Rt. 129 to the second light (Cass Street). Make a left on Cass and continue through two more lights. Stay in the right lane and bear right onto Rt. 29 North. (Waterfront Park is ahead on your left.) Follow this to the Memorial Drive exit. Follow signs to State Street. Turn right on State. Festival is ahead on your right.
From the New Jersey Turnpike (either direction):
Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 7A, Trenton. Take Route 195 West toward Trenton. It becomes Rt. 129 as you approach the city. Continue on Rt. 129 to the second light (Cass Street). Make a left on Cass and continue through two more lights. Stay in the right lane and bear right onto Rt. 29 North. (Waterfront Park is ahead on your left.) Follow this to the Memorial Drive exit. Follow signs to State Street. Turn right on State. Festival is ahead on your right.
PUBLIC PARKING is available behind the museum accessible off West State Street.
Tuesday, May 13: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
We encourage all to take public transportation where and whenever possible. The Ben Franklin Parkway near City Hall is easily accessible via the subway, bus or trolley systems in Philadelphia. Please visit the SEPTA website for complete information.
From the south:
Take I-95 north. Follow the signs to "Central Phila./I-676." Follow I-676 to the Broad Street/Central Philadelphia exit. The exit ramp will lead you to 15th Street. Take 15th to Arch Street, turn Right on Arch Street, go 1 block to the Festival.
From the north:
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to exit 4. Take Route 73 north to the Betsy Ross Bridge ($2 toll). Drive south on I-95 to the I-676 exit. Follow I-676 to the Broad Street/Central Philadelphia exit. The exit ramp will lead you to 15th Street. Take 15th to Arch Street, turn right on Arch Street, go 1 block to the Festival.
From the west:
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike east to exit 24. Take the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) east to the Central Philadelphia/I-676 exit. Follow I-676 to the Broad Street/Central Philadelphia exit. Turn right at light at end of ramp onto 15th Street. The exit ramp will lead you to 15th Street. Take 15th to Arch Street, turn right on Arch Street, go 1 block to the Festival.
From the east:
Take I-76 west over the Walt Whitman Bridge ($2 toll). Travel west on I- 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to exit 39 (30th Street Station). Drive one block to Market Street. Turn right. Go east on Market Street to 16th Street and turn left. Go 2 blocks to the Festival.
PUBLIC PARKING available in a nearby underground parking lot, entrance on Arch St. between 15th and 16th.
WASHINGTON D.C. - 3rd Street NW between Constitution and Independence Avenues on the National Mall.
Wednesday, May 14: 10 AM - 2 PM

We encourage all to take public transportation where and whenever possible. The National Mall and our Festival on 3rd Street is easily accessible via the Red, Green, Yellow, Blue or Orange lines. Please visit the WMATA website for complete public transit information.
Washington is circled by the Capital Beltway, formed by Interstates I-495 and I-95.
Interstate 66 leads from Virgina east into Washington. Take Constitution Ave. East to 3rd St.
Route 50 heads west in Washington from Annapolis, MD, the Chesapeake Bay and the beaches.
Take 50 west to 7th St. heading South. Turn left on Pennsylvania Ave. and go to 3rd Street.
Interstate 95 heads south to Washington from Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York. Access the Beltway and take Route 50 into the city.
Interstate 270 heads south to Washington from Frederick, MD, and beyond. Access the Beltway and take Route 66 into the city.
From the South, take Route 95/395 to Route 1 to Constitution Avenue.
PUBLIC PARKING is available in metered lot at Pennsylvania and 3rd Street.
