One advantage of a foreclosed home is that there isn't an owner in residence to hover around when a potential buyer looks at the property. I strongly recommend taking the time to really look at the home, including standing in closets to look at walls that aren't normally seen, and looking at the back walls of cabinets. Walking the entire outside perimeter of the home looking for issues is also recommended.

There is a great deal of satisfaction in taking a property from "rough" condition to a place where you can consider it "home", I'm sure they'll do well with it.
