  • Earth Day 2000 The national Earth Day network has made "clean energy" its focus for 2000. Their website offers the latest environmental news and you can sign up to receive a short, convenient, daily e-mail news summary, "The Daily Grist."
  • Electric Drive Transportation Association EDTA is organized to promote the widespread market adoption of electric drive systems for the clean and efficient transport of people and goods through policy, conference, communications and public education initiatives.
  • Environmental Defense This national environmental advocacy organization does work on many environmental issues, including air pollution and global warming. Their Electricity Label Generator shows you how your electricity is produced and how much pollution is created in the process.
  • Natural Resources Defense Council One of NRDC¹s overall program focuses is air/energy and they address clean air standards, global warming, transportation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and electric utility restructuring. Their website include useful background information.
  • Surface Transportation Policy Project This project pulls together information and resources from many groups interested in transportation policies that conserve energy, protect aesthetic quality, promote social equity, and make communities more livable. Their website include an extensive directory of links to other transportation sites, include state-specific sites.
  • Union of Concerned Scientists UCS has strong advocacy and research programs on renewable energy, global warming, and advanced vehicle technologies. Their website includes much readable background information on these topics.
