Northeast Grand Champions:
David Khalev, Harrison Charwat, PJ Apruzzese of Braircliff  Middle School in Mountain Lake, NJ with their car "Colbert!" This team also won a Team Spirit Award and 3rd in Innovation.

Speed:

1st Place: Shawn Meador and Vincent Halloran of Lincoln Park Middle School in Lincoln Park, NJ with their car "Koala Drive."

2nd Place: Mercedes Barretta, Fred Principe and Klaudio Gobo of McKeowin School in Newton, NJ with their car "Black Magic."

3rd Place: Skylar VanDyke and Jared Attanasio of Randolf Middle School in Randolf, NJ with their car "Speeding Light."

Technical Merit:

1st Place: Nick Davies, Connor Allard and Brandon Harlow with Rising Tide Charter Public School in Plymouth, MA with their car "Duckling."

2nd Place: Meredith Barr and Sarah White of Cedarbrook Middle School in Wyncote, PA with their car "Zoom III."

3rd Place: Paige Lisowski, Tara Dowd, Jowal-Lisa Walden of Powder Mills Middle School in Southwick, MA with their car "Parma Flame."

Innovation:

1st Place: Brett Daley, Jonathan Blumers, and Sam Blumers of Mountain View Middle School in Mendham, NJ with their car "Ballistic Balsa."

2nd Place: Catherine Dammer-Jones, Joey Massa, and Stephanie John of Ridgedale Middle School in Florham Park , NJ with their car "Product Green." These students also won in Best Re-Use of Materials.

3rd. Place: "Colbert"

Craftsmanship:

1st Place: Henrik Rhodin of Chenery Middle School in Belmont, MA with his car "#2 Pencil".

2nd Place: Dallas Williamson and Jordan Stubbs of Auburn Middle School in Auburn, ME with their car "Flying Basilisk."

3rd Place: Christian Ray and Natalie Perez of Slade Middle School in New Britain, CT with their car "Sponge Bob."

Special recognition goes to Loius Farrakhan III of Howard University Middle School in Washington, DC. He not only was a supportive team-player on his own team he also was noticed helping other teams as well.  Farrakhan was part of a two member team with their car "Solar Sparks."
