Board of directors committees

NESEA has a 12-member board of directors. Every October, the NESEA membership elects three board members to three-year terms, for a total of nine elected members at any given time. Also annually, the board itself appoints one member to join them for a three-year term—someone who may have a skill set or background that is underrepresented on the board—which brings the total up to 12 at any given time.

Advisory committees

These committees advise the executive director on specific programs and issues. Some are permanent, some are formed as needed for specific issues or tasks.

  • Building committee/Friends of 50 Miles committee—considers maintenance and upgrades at NESEA’s Greenfield, MA, headquarters
