What is a Green Car?
A green car is one that is significantly less harmful to the environment than conventional gasoline-powered models. Green cars use an electric drive and/or fuels that burn more cleanly to reduce air pollution and global warming gasses.
The number and range of green cars will be expanding rapidly in the coming few years, but there are already excellent options now available. NESEA provides listings and links to currently available cars, buses, boats, bikes and more. Look for new releases soon from all of the major auto-makers.
Technologies and fuels used in green cars include hybrid gasoline-electric drives, battery power, fuel cells, biodiesel made from vegetable oil, ethanol, compressed natural gas, propane, super light-weight construction, and recyclable materials. New advances are lowering the price of green cars and bringing them increasingly into the mainstream.
