The People Behind This Website

Nancy Hazard
nhazard@nesea.org
Nancy is NESEA's Associate Director and Transportation Program Director and helps provide some of the informational content for this site. She'd been looking for a more environmentally friendly car for over a decade, so when her car rusted out two years ago, she was thrilled to be able to purchase a Toyota Prius. She still walks to work whenever she can, takes mass transit when in New York City, and dreams about the holy grail - a zero emission vehicle.

John Murphy
SUNCYCLEJM@aol.com
John Murphy, a past Tour de Sol entrant and long-term volunteer for NESEA, has personally built several battery-electric vehicles. His bikes and cars have been donated over the years to several educational institutions where they serve the learning process as examples of sustainable transportation options. Now retired from the corporate world, John does volunteer work in several service arenas and currently moderates our on-line Discussion Forum as the Green Car Club’s "Technical Correspondent".

Anissa Sanborn
asanborn@nesea.org
Anissa is NESEA's Event Coordinator and helps maintain this website. She has been with NESEA since 1999 and since then has developed a passion for promoting walking, biking, and mass transit. Being the coordinator of the Tour de Sol, she feels it's important to promote sustainable transportation options. She owns a 2003 Kia Spectra and a Ford diesel pick-up that she runs on biodiesel. She plans to trade her Kia in for a diesel Volkwagen so that she can burn biodiesel rather than gasoline.
