Buying a Green Car
- NESEA's Green Cars On The Market Catalog with links to the manufacturers.
- The Environmental Protection Agency provides data on the fuel economy of both new and used cars at www.fueleconomy.gov. Also check out their new Green Vehicle Guide.
- The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy each year publishes The Green Book: The Environmental Guide to Cars and Trucks. It ranks new cars in terms of both their gas use and air pollution emissions. Within each category of cars (compacts, station wagons, SUVs, etc.), they choose winners and losers. Some of the key findings are available for free at www.greenercars.com and the rest can be purchased there.
- The Green Car Journal is an online journal that has been in the market place for over 14 years covering the alternative vehicle scene. A hard-copy subscription is also available.
