JETS TEAMS 2011 Smarter Energy Cleaner Planet Competition Scenarios Released

Challenge your students: Experience TEAMS 2011 - Smarter Energy. Cleaner Planet. As an educator exploring energy with your students, JETS invites you take learning one-step further and participate in the annual TEAMS Competition. Focusing on energy this year, TEAMS will help your students make the connection between math and science to real-world issues. Students will discover their potential for solving problems while having a fun and unique learning experience. Get involved and become a TEAMS Coach today! Calendar specifics:

September 1 - January 31: TEAMS Competition Online Registration Opens. Register to compete in this national competition challenging your students to problem-solve real-world issues using an engineering focus. Choose to participate at your own school or travel to a Host Site.

October 1: TEAMS Competition Scenarios Released. All registered schools and groups can review the energy scenarios, or topics, students will tackle in the 2011 competition.

February 14 - March 15: TEAMS Competition Window. Compete against schools and groups across the country as you vie for state and national rankings and awards.

Mid-to-Late April: TEAMS Competition State Rankings Announced. See which teams were named "Best in State" and how your school or group placed.
