The Solar Installer – On Call will work with our Installation Team on an as-needed basis and will be responsible for ensuring our systems are installed to design specifications, meet our high expectations for quality and are in compliance with all code regulations. This position will be directly involved in the installation and servicing of solar photovoltaic and other renewable energy systems and must be comfortable working on roofs. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, proactive communicator and problem solver with significant experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced team setting. This is a temporary status position based in Greenfield, MA.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·        Stable active work history in the construction trade

·        Strong technical problem solving and interpersonal skills

·        Safe and comfortable working on construction sites and carrying weight at all heights (including roofs and ladders)

·        Reliable transportation and clean driving history

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·        Experience with the Massachusetts Building Code

·        General familiarity with National Electric Code as it pertains to solar PV applications

·        Proactive communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients

·        Focused and detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship and efficiency

·        Passionate about solar energy, green building, and the cooperative business model

·        Flexible thinker and team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed

·        OSHA 10 Construction Certification

·        NABCEP Solar PV Installation Professional certification a strong plus
