Assistant to Project Management

Unity Homes, a design-build company, located in Walpole, NH, seeks an energetic full-time associate to join the Project Management team as a Project Management Assistant.  

The mission of Unity Homes is to improve lives by transforming homebuilding for the benefit of all. Unity does this by using innovative methods to design and build homes that are healthy, comfortable, and energy efficient. Established in 2012 as a spinoff from Bensonwood, Unity represents the culmination of 40 years of experience using off-site fabrication to build high quality homes.

Position Summary

The Assistant will be a part of the Project Management team and will assist with the successful execution of all projects.  This role will be based in our Walpole, NH office and will be a part of our growing Unity team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Aiding with contract generation and change orders

  • Generating RFPs (Requests for Proposal)

  • Creating subcontracts

  • Processing/approving vendor invoices

  • Plan takeoffs for estimating

  • Soliciting vendors and subcontractors for project pricing

  • Evaluating and comparing vendor and subcontractor pricing

  • Generating purchase orders

  • Placing material orders with a variety of vendors

  • Coordinating material delivery schedules

  • Product research

  • Communicating with vendors and subcontractors

  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures relevant to the role

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience and/or coursework related to construction management or building industry

  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage 100 Contractor

  • Proficiency Microsoft (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Polite, courteous and tactful manner with vendors, clients, company associates and the public

  • Ability and flexibility to take on other responsibilities as assigned

  • Knowledge of CAD programs is helpful

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation will be based on skill level and experience with anticipated hourly wage range between $35-40,000
