Directions: Garden State Parkway exit 109. Turn immediately onto 1/2 mile Rd. At dead end take a right onto Front Street. Continue thru Red Bank into Fair Haven (becomes River Rd.) At light before Exxon Station, turn left onto Hance Road, a private drive just after Lewis Point Rd.

Solar Features: A-Frame built in 1980’s about 2,400 sq.ft. space and hot water heated by solar panels, putting in net-metered solar electric generation system Sept. 01, may be ready in time for tour.

Directions: Hammonton Rt. 542 to 7 mile marker, bare right Jackson Road, at stop sign turn right. Go 2 miles to 7th avenue. Next street past 7th is 6th Street. Turn right, 4th house on the right. Garden State Parkway - Exit 52 to Rt. 542 Hammonton until Greenbank, left turn after Greenbank Tavern, left over bridge to dead end right turn, 2 1/2 miles until 6th Avenue, left turn 4th house on right.

Solar Features: Solar sunspace has an automatic/temperature controlled window, a fan to circulate heat to the rest of the house, screens for the glass to reduce heat in summer, a masonry wall to absorb heat for nigh time use, a 8" concrete floor and dark tiles to absorb heat. Solar tubes for light from the roof--$250 each $75 to install--let light into rooms without windows. No electric lighting needed during daytime. The first year that the sunspace was installed and working our fuel cost (oil) fell by almost half. During the summer months electrical bills were stable and slightly lower using central air conditioning.
