BUILDING ENERGY 2005:
The Practice of Sustainability: Art, Science, Business!

The Building Energy 2005 Conference will take place March 15-17 at the Boston World Trade Center and the Seaport hotel. Please check back on these pages for updates and to take an active role in the conference by getting involved.

The Seaport hotel and the Boston World Trade Center will be the site of the Building Energy 2005 conference

The Building Energy Conference and Trade Show focuses on the intersection of green building design and clean energy generation. The theme for this year‚s conference is The Practice of Sustainability: Art, Science, Business! With this theme we seek to promote the following message through the conference:

In order to successfully create products and processes that support sustainability on our planet, we must employ both Science and Art. It is our responsibility to create things that work, while creating things and that we and future generations can love and cherish.

For over three decades NESEA has hosted this conference, assembling those who share a common quest to advance the practice of sustainability. Together, we share a dedication not just to revealing what can be done, but how we do it. If you are devoted to the practice Sustainability, this is where you belong. The 2005 conference title sponsor is the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's Renewable Energy Trust.

Help fill these seats and make this the best NESEA conference ever!

The Seaport hotel boasts some of the nicest spaces to learn, network, and share.

What does Sustainability look like?

We want to you to tell us what you think Sustainability looks like. Is it a picture like this installation of solar panels by Solar Design Associates in California that resemble sunflowers? Is it wind turbines gently turning in the distance, or someone pumping water from a spring for their horses? We will be collecting and talking about these images in the months leading up to the Building Energy 2005 conference.

At the conference next March we will devote space to showing these images that we have collected as a place for you to go to just relax or engage another attendee in a conversation about the practice of sustainability.

Soon you will be able to submit your images here and help us to create the most dynamic and influential green building and clean energy event in the Northeast.
