NESEA’s annual BuildingEnergy conference is attended by 4,000-plus professionals active in the fields of sustainable energy and high-performance building. And we’re all hungry for information, conversation, and collaboration.

We are results-driven professionals from every step of the building process who are working hard to create a sustainable built environment. We come to BE not only to learn from masters in the field, but also to think with other thinkers. So “speaking” at BE doesn’t necessarily mean standing in front of the room with a PowerPoint.

Flexible session formats for teaching, thinking, vetting …

  • Presentation of a project—single speaker
  • Panel presentation of two contributors
  • Presentation of case studies that track performance data over time
  • A “NESEA smackdown”—two opposing views go at each other
  • Facilitated conversations
  • R&D session, i.e. “come help me think this through”
  • Or …?

You’ll need to write a proposal

Please go to the Proposal Process page to learn exactly what’s involved in becoming BE track speaker. Thinking about presenting a case study? Spend a few minutes at the Case Study Guidelines page as well.
