Volunteering
Every year about 90 member-volunteers come together to help NESEA run the BuildingEnergy conference. Volunteers are critical to the success of conference. Plus, they make a lot of great business connections while they help out at the sessions, at registration and at the NESEA booth, among other things. Interested in being a member-volunteer? Contact Janice Kurkoski at bevolunteer@nesea.org or call her at 413-774-6051 x34.

NESEA Student Design Competition: High Performance Modular
In a world that is rapidly changing, it is essential for buildings to conserve both energy and materials, provide a comfortable and healthy indoor environment, and to be durable, affordable, and desirable. While the majority of current building construction is performed on-site, this competition will focus on the alternative: modular building technology. Competitors in the NESEA Student Design Competition
will be challenged with the design of a small residential community on a 4 acre vacant lot located in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Teams will submit a complete design package that will include a site plan, community center, and housing units for 20 families. They will be asked to clearly disclose both the heating loads and estimated cost of construction on their final presentation boards.
At the conference in March, come see posters of all the entrants'
designs at the Student Design Competition Booth on the
Trade Show Floor.
