How do you define sustainability?
To me, "sustainability" speaks to the concept of the human race moving forward into the future in a positive, responsible and sustainable way.

What project are you most proud of?
My own home, a passive solar and magical place for my family and me to live.

What energy advice do you have for the new president?
It is imperative that we continue to expand as rapidly as possible all efforts toward alternative energy use.

What promising technology would you like to know more about?
I am most interested in building new super energy-efficient homes and creating workable ways to retrofit existing ones.

What's the public's biggest misunderstanding regarding sustainable energy systems?
I believe that the public needs to adopt a philosophy of "sustainable energy now" and not leave the task to future generations.

What prompted you to join NESEA?
I joined NESEA to support, learn from and network among this exciting sustainable community.

What's the most irritating example of "greenwashing" you can think of?
My eyes glaze over a bit when I see plastic building products being billed as "green"!

Parting Shot . . .
It is my hope that a vigorously stimulated and supported national sustainable energy effort will provide an impetus to help us move beyond our country's current economic woes.
