CEUs: 3.0 AIA LU/HSW; certificates of attendance provided to all attendees

This Pro Tour showcased a 101-unit, mid-rise building, built to expand the designated-affordable housing units in the Far Rockaways area of southern Queens in New York City. This project was built to Passive House standards with special attention to resiliency features for extreme weather events, including a bioswale for storm water retention.  The building is also the home of a nonprofit organization focused on resiliency within this area of New York City.

This event began with a presentation from hosts Curtis + Ginsberg Architects, who will be gave an overview of the project's history, design, building science, and resiliency and efficiency features. Attendees then broke up into small groups to tour the building. They heard about specific aspects of the project from the experts who made it possible.  After the building tour, attendees regrouped for a reception and Q&A.
